Milenko Gudic is Director of CEEMAN's International Management Teachers Academy. Milenko is also a consultant and lecturer at the Economics Institute - Belgrade, Serbia, visiting professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro and a frequent guest speaker at universities, management development institutions, and international conferences in Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro, Somalia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States. Milenko’s internationally recognised competence and expertise has been extensively used by various international institutions, organisations and agencies (OECD, UNDP, UNIDO, EEC, ETF, ICPE, CEEMAN, EFMD, etc) in a number of expert and consulting assignments. With a professional focus on change management, leadership and entrepreneurship, business ethics, and value-driven management, he has published a number of papers on management and management development issues. He has also developed several case studies, many of which are registered at international case clearing houses and used at prominent business schools.

Professor Phyllis Tharenou is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Flinders University. Prior to her current appointment, she held positions in the university sector as well as managerial and administrative positions, including Executive Director of Social, Behavioural and Economic Sciences at the Australian Research Council. Professor Tharenou is an organisational psychologist who is well known for her publications on managerial career advancement, women’s advancement in management, international careers, training and development, absenteeism, and employee self-esteem. She is also the winner of several awards including the Elton Mayo Prize from the Australian Psychological Society for outstanding academic contribution to Industrial and Organisational Psychology and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland.

Professor Debowski is widely recognised for innovation relating to academic research and leadership across the Australian higher education sector. Professor Debowski has been President of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) for the last four years and is currently President of the International Consortium for Education Development (ICED).

Dr Eacott holds a Master’s degree and PhD in Educational Leadership. Dr Eacott is interested in the leaders and leadership of educational institutions and his research continues to clarify, broaden and deepen his use of sociological and organisational analysis. Over the past few years, Dr Eacott has worked on an emerging research program investigating what it takes to strategically lead an educational institution.

Recently Allens was again judged Australia’s ‘Best Large Professional Services Firm’, as well as the nation’s ‘Best Large Law Firm’ in the BRW-St.George Client Choice Awards 2008. For five consecutive years, Allens Arthur Robinson has also been awarded Employer of Choice for Women status by the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA).

Penny Lovett is the Human Resources Director for Bupa Asia Pacific. With 10 million customers in over 190 countries, Bupa is a giant in the insurance sector. Penny Lovett is a member of Bupa’s Executive Leadership Team and since joining Bupa in 2002 she has successfully lead numerous change management and people programs, including the landmark merger of Bupa Australia and MBF.

Jenny Kelman has been a generalist human resource practitioner for over 20 years and has held executive and senior human resource management roles in the health, professional services, manufacturing and public transport sectors. Jenny holds a Bachelor of Health Services Management and Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management. She is currently the General Manager - Human Resources for V/Line Passenger Pty Ltd. and is also a Director of the Australasian Railway Association Rail Skills and Career Council.

Prior to taking up the position of CEO with Tasmanian Polytechnic, Belinda was the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) of Victoria University. She has previously held senior positions in TAFE in Victoria, including Deputy Director TAFE (Strategic Development) at Victoria University, and senior positions at Chisholm and Barton Institutes of TAFE in Victoria.

As Senior Industry Adviser, Education and Business Services for Austrade, Peter works closely with key government and industry allies to coordinate Austrade’s worldwide education network of over 70 education industry specialists. Peter has over 16 years of experience in the Australian education and training industry. Prior to joining Austrade, Peter spent nine years as General Manager with educational software business, Planet Learning.

Air Commodore Staib was promoted to the rank of Air Commodore in January 2006 and took up the post of Director General Strategic Logistics in Joint Logistics Command. She is currently the Commandant at the Australian Defence Force Academy. In 2009, she was appointed as a Member in the Military Division of the Order of Australia for exceptional service to the Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Defence Force in the field of logistics strategic planning.

Tom qualified as an Accountant, an Investment Banker, a Master of Business Administration and a Strategy Consultant before realising business succeeds because of people not powerpoint. After fifteen years as a consultant with Arthur Andersen, Bain International and most recently Deloitte, Tom advised Australia’s leading organisations on operational excellence and growth.Tom identified as a consultant the need for leadership apability to realise performance improvement in business and hence founded the Deloitte Leadership Academy (DLA).With over 3,000 Australian business leaders using the DLA, Tom has unparalleled insight into the use of cutting edge techniques to cost effectively and pragmatically develop our future business leaders.

In 1994, Professor Paul Thomas AM became Planning President for the University of the Sunshine Coast, the first university to be developed on a greenfield site for a quarter of a century. In January 1996, he became the University’s inaugural Vice-Chancellor. He was honoured with an Order of Australia medal for services to higher education and the establishment of the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2007.

Dr Stewart is Director, The Equity Office at The University of Queensland with responsibility for encouraging and leading strategic and cultural change to embed equity and diversity in the University’s policies and practices. Ann’s background is in education and prior to moving to Queensland she spent nearly 20 years in the Northern Territory in various senior roles including School Principal, lecturer in Teacher Education and later Regional Coordinator for Batchelor College in Arnhemland.

Ahmed Yusuf's career in vocational training spans more than 20 years, two continents and six industry sectors. Ahmed has held senior leadership roles in Corporate Strategy, Human Resources Management, and International Development. As the Ambassador for AMES, Ahmed is responsible for enabling a shared and better understanding of the vital work of AMES among staff, clients, communities and other stakeholders.

Gina McCredie is an organisational psychologist with a particular expertise in leadership and management development. At FBG Group (formerly NLI Consulting) Gina's consulting work focuses on developing the capability of individuals and organisations, primarily through improving people-related business systems, facilitating effective changes in how businesses operate, building effective cultures, and training and coaching leaders to increase their impact. Gina was the Colloquium's first National Advisory Board Chairperson, and she continues to be involved in the program through her ongoing Board membership.
